It seems like I have spent most of my life doing some form of art, for some reason or another. Mostly because I love doing it. Sometimes out of poverty LOL! Necessity is the mother of invention (or creation)
But today, I have taken a step into a new world. Like most new & important steps, it invokes the most primal of emotions- Fear & Panic!
The Panic comes when you find out how much the ARTIST Grade paint supplies cost. There's a reason for the term "Starving Artist" This is it! LOL
And the Fear happens when you sit down with said expensive supplies to create something and you don't want to waste any of it by screwing it up! Which let's face it- screwing up is what happens when you're planing something else.
Foe this reason, what I have tried to learned in life is how to either prevent or fix screw ups as much as possible. LOL
In painting I have taken something from my sewing skills and applied it to save my paintings...
Nice little thing called a Dressmakers Pencil.
Its a light blue color that dissolves when water hits it. Do a drawing, make all your corrections, paint and no trace is left behind!
And there is always the most valuable YouTube videos that teach painting without more $$s flying out of your pocket. Gotta love that and they are very entertaining at times, if you can avoid the boring ones.
So with the most resent painting I have posted today (Victorian Mass arrangement) I have created my 1st Artist Grade painting.
